Rahul Gandhi Interview with Arnab Goswami : Decoded

Not my usual cup of tea, but couldn't resist posting

This is from another source. Pappu's interview decoded:
1. The future of this country is in our hands
2. We need more youth in the system
3. We need to open up the system... open ourselves up.
4. We need to empower women and ... need to empower them.
5. That is the fundamental need of the moment.
6. I have always said...
7. The congress believes that anyone.. ANYONE who is corrupt should be punished.
8. We need to change the way the politics is structured.
9. All I am saying is that there is a difference.
10. One needs to setup the system.

Arnab: Considering that you are blaming Narendra modi's party for the riots, would you be ready to take responsibility and accept the mistake that was the 1984 riots?

Rahul: 9 + 1 + 3 + 7

Arnab: There are so many ministers within the congress who are not being prosecuted just because of their position

Rahul: 6 + 3 + 8

Arnab: Do you feel that the congress is making partnerships with a lot of individuals and parties for their own personal goal?

Rahul: 9 + 10 + 4 + 1

Arnab: Why is it that the congress party not open to showing its income. It appears that 80 percent of its income is undeclared and from anonymous sources.

Rahul: 6 + 6 + 2 + 5

Arnab: You have been noted as stating 'Some people can give a bald man a haircut' in reference to the AAP. What is your stand on them?

Rahul: 6 + 1 + 9

Arnab: If the AAP files an inquiry againt sheela dixit, would you still support them?

Rahul: 1 + 4 + 2 + 7

Arnab: Are you open to having a debate with the other ministers. An open debate with them?

Rahul: 6 + 8 + 5 + 1

Arnab: You have not answered any questions and have dodged them? Can you please give an answer?

Rahul: Arnab - all I have to say is - 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 +.... — feeling annoyed.

INDIA Inc.

why cant we have a brand by the Central Government
INDIA Inc.
We create our own Stuffs, be it mobiles, computers, TV, Washing Machine
A brand which focuses on quality and innovation
Let the cost be premium at first, people will start to perceive the brand as a trustworthy one
When we have our own products, the need for importing will reduce automatically.
Once the brand has become trustworthy, we can move into low cost segments.
There are two gains out of this. If a brand is trustworthy, 'MADE IN INDIA' tag will be perceived as top of the line quality. This will open our markets to the outside.
We dont have to import from outside, the CAD will reduce. Remember Merchandise Import constitute the CAD in a big way.
We surely are missing out an opportunity here.
For those who feel that this is not practical, the answer is, 'it has never been tried before'.
We have our own products but we restrict ourselves to Mineral Water and Low cost products.
The idea here is to bring up a brand which will stand for quality and support.
As it grows, we are indirectly curbing the unemployment rates.

Being the Change

Change is Inevitable. All that matters is whether it's for the good or the worse. Living in a society where people are hardcore selfish and least bothered about anything/anyone outside their inner circle has been the biggest compromise that I have done to my self.
"Make Hay when the Sun Shines" is an evergreen quote and anecdotes can be seen everywhere.

When AAP vouched to eradicate corruption from the society, have we ever thought our contribution to the Corrupt System. An introspection to the self must give you the answer

Have I ever done/accepted a favor?
Have I ever taken/given a bribe? It can be anything, even a parking ticket
Have I ever bought a land/house at an undervalued price?
Have I ever used unfair means to gain an advantage? it can also be anything, an exam, movie ticket, etc
Have I ever tried to evade the Tax?

If the answer was 'Yes' to any of the above, then probably you may also be corrupt. Imagine, if one day you get the power in your hand, you will definitely do the same but in a grandeur.

Remember
There is nothing in this entire world for which we say 'Enough', Except for the Food that we eat.

I have never embraced the AAP methodology/visions(if they had any). Corruption will be there as long as people are selfish, even the common man can be corrupt. It is a necessary evil that helps people evolve. When people evolve and become strong, lesser and lesser people will be daring to be corrupt. It was 'Survival of the fittest' from the beginning of man kind, those who couldn't perished/got extinct.

Like SRK said, 'Dont underestimate the power of a common man', we should realise that the common man is not always common.
Giving freebies to common man will not help. It will only pave way for the uncommon man to portray himself as the 'common man'. Who doesn't like Freebies anyway?
I would always prefer giving a Fishing Rod and teach them to Fish, rather than giving Fish.

I really wish we had focused on a pro-development model rather than unearthing the scams and giving freebies. It's 2014, I am not sure, whether everyone still remembers "India: Vision 2020" by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. We are supposed to be on the final stage for a developed India by next year and unfortunately we are going in the opposite direction.

Envisaging for a better INDIA is all I can do. Apart from evangelizing. Obeying rules and being a good citizen is what I can do. Hope you also will do the same.

Jai Hind!!
